Wet Media SandBlast® Cabinets
The first blast cabinets manufactured used a wet slurry accelerated using compressed air. This was an easy way to control dust, but when dry cabinets entered the market using high frictional heat, they almost totally replaced wet cabinet blasting. Today, more and more applications require wet slurry or wet vapor blasting due to its elimination of the frictional heat that can damage delicate parts. A few wet blasting applications include critical plating, chemically clean part surface, no abrasive impregnation into the part surface, and aircraft part cleaning with the least surface removal. If you require a wet blasting cabinet make sure you purchase a stainless-steel cabinet.

Light Duty Media Blast® Cabinets
Often used in small shops or off-time passions, Light Duty Sandblasting Cabinets can not operate using air compressors running on 120-volt single-phase power, which is found in commercial shops and homes. All Media Blast Light Duty Blast Cabinets are 100% welded, include an abrasive separator reclaimer used to remove the dust and material being removed from the parts, and always include foot-operated gun control, abrasive flow valve, safety glass windows with protectors, and more. These small sandblasting cabinets are normally Siphon Abrasive Delivery, and they can be cost-effective if you buy the right machine model.

R&D Media SandBlast® Cabinets
These media blasters are designed to accommodate applications that require a large, 100% welded cabinet to contain the blast. They use a smaller gun size and dust collector for more intermittent machine use or not 100% large part cleaning. Options can include Fixed Turntable or Mobile Work Cart. Each of these machines include our Patented Abrasive Separator Reclaimer used to remove the dust and spent abrasive maintaining the best possible cabinet visibility. Media Blast uses a mil-spec wood crating technique to ship these blasting cabinets across the country without damage. Typical use would be cleaning areas to be welded on large heavy parts, but daily operation is normally not required. For daily operation, and higher production, always look at Industrial designed cabinets using larger faster gun sizes.

Industrial Media Blast® Cabinets
This category embraces an extensive array of sandblaster cabinets, making it one of the most inclusive collections of machines. It encapsulates all DRY abrasive delivery types, featuring Siphon, Direct Pressure, and Gravity Feed, along with specialized machines designed for Plastic Stripping, Soda Blasting, and Shot Peening. Our Wet models hold their own distinct Category, separately listed for both high-performance Industrial and lower Daily Duty Cycle (DDC) models. Each Dry model can be customized in a variety of cabinet sizes, accompanied by the option of patented internal or external separator reclaimers to optimize cost and efficiency. At Media Blast & Abrasive, we understand the correlation between time and money, which is why our Industrial Sandblasters are designed for quick cleaning, replete with a myriad of options and upgrades geared for daily operation, all tailored to the gun size necessary to meet your production numbers.

Automotive & Soda Media Blast® Cabinets
The Automotive Industry uses a combination of almost all blast cabinet categories. Through the years we found home shops, commercial repair and industrial production all using siphon and direct pressure models. This category shows the smallest to the largest automotive sandblasters used for cleaning, stripping, and shot peening, grouped together for easy evaluation with many different cabinet sizes available. In addition, many have the space saving side mounted dust collector used when floor space is critical. All models include our Patented Abrasive Separator Reclaimer used to remove the dust and spent abrasive to maintain the best possible cabinet visibility. Keep reading to learn about the different automotive sandblasters we offer.

Micro Industrial Media Blast® Cabinets
Media Blast created the Micro Industrial Line of siphon and direct pressure models specifically for proper flow control of smaller amounts of abrasive (measured in pounds per minute) using all the right abrasive delivery controls. These sandblasting cabinets come with a large negative pressure dust collector with lots of filter surface area for clean operation in small spaces and are capable of recycling even 50-micron abrasive media. All our Micro machines include our Patented Abrasive Separator Reclaimer used to remove the dust and aerate the ultra-fine abrasives. Ergonomics was added for comfortable daily operation and the large dust collector has a blower silencer that includes cartridge dust filtration and easy pneumatic vibrator cleaning cycle. These sandblasters are much faster than pencil blasters, up to 10 times faster, and recycle the abrasive unlike pencil blasters with total abrasive loss. The standard configuration operates using only 120-volt single phase electrical power.

Sandcarving Media Blast® Cabinets
In 2003 Media Blast introduced the Patented Line of CrystalBlast® Sandcarving and Film Washout Machinery which raised the bar in the Sandcarving Industry. We were the first manufacturer to introduce Sandcarving equipment with our Patented Abrasive Separator Reclaimer, first with the Industrial Pinch Valve Flow Control, Cartridge Dust Collector, Reverse Pulse Cleaning Cycle, Full Padded Armrest, Window Sweeps, Cleanout Pot Ports and more. Offering Entry Level, Value for Dollar, and Advanced Ergonomics models, our sandblasters are available with special units for Artistic Panels, Blasting Outside the Box with no protection taping, and cabinets of almost any size, and any DDC, daily duty cycle, required for home shop to advanced high production or high flow facilities.

Tumble Blasters, Tumble Barrels, and Tumble Basket Machines
Tumble barrel blaster cabinets and basket blaster cabinets allow blasting of batch loads automatically using random mixing. Two types of tumble blaster machines exist, barrel and basket, and the fastest processing is attained using a tumble barrel design with three directional part mix. The faster you mix, the shorter the processing time using one gun size of only 50 CFM of compressed air. This prevents part nicking and damage during processing. Larger parts that can’t tumble, parts normally longer than five inches, use the slower more cost-effective tumble basket processing. Media Blast manufactures a large line of tumble barrel and basket units all including variable speed drives and a large support shaft for long service as well as the right barrel speed for different part shapes and sizes. Because all Tumble Barrels are sold as options, they can be added to any Industrial Machine Model and include everything needed for part processing fully assembled.

Dust Collector Options Media Blast® Cabinets
Media Blast® offers a large line of standalone and modular dust collectors for many of our machine models that can also be used on any existing machine with a poorly designed dust collector. We also offer a vacuum blower operated line to replace small dust collectors on inexpensive machines that don’t include a separator reclaimer. The Media Blast vacuum dust collectors include 110 square feet of MERV tested and certified cartridge filtration, and we also manufacturer a modular line of free-standing collectors with and without dust storage hoppers. The larger freestanding dust collector models with automatic timed reverse pulse cleaning up to 1320 square feet of filter collection surface area, can also include HEPA After Filters. These collectors are made for sand blasting applications using vertical filters found to be the most efficient by air pollution control agencies when used with blasting cabinets. HEPA after filters are also available for even greater dust collector efficiency and are commonly used for machine cell operation.

Media Blast® Pollution Control Benches
The Tornado line of Pollution Control Down-Draft Work Benches and Workstations is a very efficient machine design for the collection of nuisance dust. Designed to protect both the operator and surrounding equipment, using either the open top or enclosed top model. This line of machines is also available in Workstation Model, which connect to any central customer supplied
